How to get to IUF

  • From the forecourt of the main station: platform 7, tram line 707, direction D-Uni Nord/Christoph (University), stop Auf'm Hennekamp, turn left, approx. 5 minutes walk to the IUF.
  • Alternative from main station: S-Bahn (interurban train) S1 direction Solingen or S6 direction Köln-Nippes, stop Volksgarten S, use exit Kruppstrasse, turn right and walk approx. 10 minutes.
  • Other lines within Düsseldorf leading to IUF: 706 (tram; stop Redinghovenstraße; opposite IUF) as well as U71, U73 and U83 (subway; stop Auf'm Hennekamp).

A46 exit Universität (university), direction Zentrum (town center). Turn right at the first big junction, then first possibility left, diagonally opposite is the driveway to the institute site (Auf'm Hennekamp 50).

  • If you take a taxi, it takes about 20 minutes from the airport to IUF.
  • Alternatively, S-Bahn (interurban train) 11 direction Bergisch-Gladbach or Regionalexpress to Düsseldorf Hbf (main station). Then continue as described under "By train".
